Ian Fried was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Recruiting and Pro Liaison prior to the 2025 season after serving as director of recruiting since 2023.
He came to Buffalo from Western Michigan where he served as director of recruiting.
Prior ro Western Michigan, Fried was on the Colgate football staff for quality control and video.Â
Fried began his career in player personnel, recruiting operations, and player development in 2019 with stops at the United States Military Academy at West Point, the University of Pennsylvania as well as the University of Southern California.
Fried, a native of Stamford, CT, was introduced to the industry as a student manager for equipment and football operations at his alma mater, Temple University, in 2017. He graduated from Temple in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management.
