Aidan Riley joined the UB football strength staff in 2024. He came to Buffalo from Northern Illinois where he spent the previous three seasons.
At Northern Illinois, he was the assistant football sports performance director, directly in charge of sports science. In his time with the Huskie football program, NIU won the Mid-American Conference championship in 2021 and the Camellia Bowl in 2023.
Riley also served as NIU's head of wrestling and baseball sports performance. The wrestling team won the 2023 MAC Championship. He trained six individual MAC Champions and an All-American in his time with NIU wrestling.
Prior to Northern Illinois, Riley served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Temple for two seasons.
He also served as a temporary strength and conditioning assistant at the University of Miami in 2019.
Riley earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science as well as a master's degree in higher education from Temple Univeristy.
