2015-16: Posted a 6-12 overall record and a 4-10 mark in dual matches… went 1-5 in MAC duals… had 10 takedowns, a tech fall, a two-point near fall and three four-point near falls on the season… ranked second on the team with 29 escapes… earned an overtime win over Devin Geoghegan to help the Bulls upset 21st-ranked Old Dominion.
High School: Wrestled at Warsaw High School for head coach Brad Paddock. Had a career record of 261-25. Finished in second place at the 2013 NYS Championships at 182-pounds after finishing the season with a 53-2 overall record. Took home third place in the State Tournament in 2012 as he went 45-5 on the year. Was a New York State freestyle champion. He was a five-time State qualifiers as he took home sixth place as a 7th grader at 96-pounds.
Personal: Son of Michael and Colleen Schaefer... has two brothers, Clint and Michael... lists his favorite food as spaghetti.... he enjoys listening to country music... his favorite sports team is the New York Yankees.
