Wyatt Foust begins his first season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator on the Buffalo women's basketball staff. Foust comes to Buffalo from Murray State where he served as the Director of Basketball Operations for the 2021-22 season, helping to lead the Racers to the postseason for the first time since 2009 and just the fifth time in program history. Before joining the collegiate ranks Foust compiled a 101-15 record, good for a .877 winning percentage, at the high school level in the state of Kentucky. Foust spent two seasons at Butler Traditional High School where he led the Bears to a 41-8 record and consecutive Region 6 title game appearances.
Before Murray State he spent two seasons as the head girls’ varsity basketball coach at Murray High School where he led Tigers to a 60-7 record, back-to-back KHSAA Sweet 16 appearances in 2018 and 2019 and the 2018 "All-A" state championship. He was named Kentucky Coach of the Year by USA Today and was a two-time Region Coach of the Year.
Prior to his time at Murray, Foust spent one season at Owensboro Catholic, after spending three seasons as the girl's head coach at Notre Dame Academy. He began his high school coaching career in 2012 as the assistant boy's coach at Greenwood High School, after serving for two seasons as the assistant women's coach at his alma mater, Kentucky Wesleyan
Foust graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan in 2012 with a degree in biology. He earned master’s degrees from Western Kentucky in 2014 and Georgetown College in 2019 in recreation & sport management and teaching, respectively. Foust and his wife Jenna have a son Coy and daughter Noa.
