Erin Sinnott enters her second season as assistant coach and third overall on the Buffalo women's basketball staff in 2024-25.
In her first season as assistant coach, the Bulls found tremendous success as they won 19 games, earned a trip to the MAC Championship game and an appearance in the postseason WNIT. The Bulls won 10 games in league play, a seven-win improvement from a season ago which is the highest improvement of any MAC school. Individually, Chellia Watson earned Honorable Mention All-America and First Team All-MAC honors and Kirsten Lewis-Williams was named MAC Freshman of the Year and earned All-MAC Honorable Mention recognition.
For the 2022-23 season, Sinnott served as the Director of Basketball and Recruiting Operations in which she assisted in various administrative areas including travel coordination, community outreach projects, official visit coordination, and other day-to-day business operations of the program.
Sinnott came to Buffalo after serving as an intern under head coach Lindsey Whalen at the University of Minnesota during the 2021-22 season. Prior to Minnesota, Sinnott was the Director of Operations at Rising Coaches, which helps to facilitate an inclusive community for basketball coaches at all levels. Before Rising Coaches, she was a graduate assistant the marketing department at Southern Illinois University, where she earned a master's degree in sports administration.
She played two seasons (2017-19) at Daemen University, where she graduated with a degree in business administration. She started the first eight games as a junior before missing the rest of the season with an injury but bounced back and appeared in 21 games as a senior. Prior to Daemen, Sinnott played at Evansville where she scored 73 points in 41 games over two seasons.
