Junior (2014): Started all 11 games at quarterback… went 224-for-345 for 2,647 yards and 29 touchdowns on the season… his 29 touchdowns led the Mid-American Conference and was a single-season school record… he also broke the school record for career touchdown passes with 60… was the only quarterback in the MAC to throw a touchdown pass in every game of the season… had three or more touchdown passes in five games… went 25-of-36 for 298 yards and three touchdowns against Duquesne (8/30)… was 35-of-50 for 401 yards and a career-best five touchdowns at Army… his 401 passing yards against Army (9/6) was the ninth-best single-game total in school history and the third-highest in UB’s FBS era… his five touchdowns tied for second in school history… threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns against Norfolk State (9/20), including a 92-yard touchdown to Devon Hughes – the longest touchdown pass in school history… went 28-for-38 and two touchdowns against Miami (OH) (9/27)… threw for 383 yards and three touchdowns at Eastern Michigan (10/11)… went 16-of-21 for 193 yards and four touchdowns against Akron (11/11)… went 20-for-27 for 255 yards and four touchdowns at Massachusetts (11/28).
Sophomore (2013): Took over the reigns at quarterback and grew into a team leader, starting all 13 games… recorded career highs in all passing categories, finishing with 2,824 yards and 24 touchdowns passes while completing 58 percent of his passes… his 24 touchdown passes were one shy of the school record for a single season... had the best game of his career against Toledo (11/12) as he completed 36-of-58 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns, setting the school record for attempts, completions and yards in a game… totaled 214 passing yards while completing 62.5 percent of passes and one touchdown against Baylor (9/7) including a season long 62-yard completion to Alex Neutz… threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Kent State (10/26)… threw three touchdown passes against San Diego State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl... recorded two or more touchdown passes in seven games and 200 plus passing yards in five contests… completed over 60 percent of his passes in six games… named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 18.
Redshirt-Freshman (2012): Came into the season as the team’s backup, but earned the final four starts of the season and led the team to a 3-1 record in those games... played in nine games total... threw for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns for the season... his first career pass attempt was about as good as it gets, finding Alex Neutz for a 28-yard touchdown against Morgan State (9/8)... completed 13 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start, a win over Miami (OH) (11/3)... had a sterling performance in a win over Western Michigan, completing 64 percent of his passes (21-33) for 285 yards and a touchdown (11/10)... threw for two touchdowns and 226 yards in a win over Massachusetts (11/17).
Freshman (2011): Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
High School: As a senior, he completed 64% of his passes (176-of-276) for 2,573 yards and 34 touchdowns and won the Connolly Cup, emblematic of WNY’s top player…Buffalo News Player of the Year and Class A New York State Player of Year…also selected to the 2010 WNY all-academic team and earned the Ron Jaworski Award as well…set school records for passing yards in a game (492), season (2,573) and career (6,671)…a two-time captain who led his team to a sectional title and a 16-3 record over his final two seasons for coach Kraig Kurzanski…ESPN Recruiting lists him among the top 80 quarterback prospects in the nation…as a shooting guard on the Billies basketball team, Licata also broke the New York state record for three-pointers in a career (with over 300)….has volunteered his time to work with special needs children.
