2021-22: Played in 15 games, starting the first four of the year…averaged 0.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game…had four points and five boards against Rider (11/20)…added four boards against Eastern Michigan (2/8).
2020-21: Played in 18 games, starting 10 of them, which included the first nine of the year…averaged 3.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game…had eight points and a career high 12 rebounds against Towson (11/27)…finished with 10 points and eight boards, including six offensive rebounds, against Bowling Green (1/15)…had seven rebounds against Ohio (2/27) and in the MAC semifinals against Akron (3/12).
2019-20: Played in 18 games after missing all of non-conference play due to injury…started seven contests, averaging 1.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game…had four points and six rebounds at Miami (OH) (1/10) and added seven rebounds against Bowling Green (1/31)…had two points and six boards against Akron (2/29) and finished with four points against Miami (OH) (3/3)…blocked three shots at Ball St. (1/7).
2018-19: Saw action in 20 games for the Bulls by coming off the bench…set a new career-high in points with six at home against Dartmouth (11/21)…grabbed a season-high three rebounds against Ohio (2/19) while adding five points…saw action in the NCAA Tournament first round against Arizona State (3/22) and NCAA Tournament second round against Texas Tech (3/24).
2017-18: Saw action in 18 games this season, picking up his first career start against Ohio (2/24)...scored a career high five points in the regular season finale at Bowling Green (3/2)...had three points and a career-best six rebounds against Jacksonville State (11/15)...scored four points with a pair of rebounds against Central Penn (12/9)...had a pair of points against Miami (OH) (1/13) and Northern Illinois (1/16)...also scored two points with three rebounds against Ohio (2/24)...saw action in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Arizona (3/15) and the second round against Kentucky (3/17).
2016-17: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
High School: Earned four letters and captained two seasons for head coach Zach Gorring at Apple Valley High School...averaged 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as his team went 32-1 as a senior...was a two-time state champion and a four-time conference champion...named a finalist for Mr. Basketball in the state of Minnesota and went 118-7 over his four years at Apple Valley.
Personal: Born March 10, 1998...son of James and Jill Bertram...has one brother (Hunter) and one sister (Bailey)...also enjoys football and baseball...favorite athlete is Kevin Garnett...favorite movie is Space Jam...chose Buffalo because it was the best place for him to succeed both on and off the court...says the toughest opponent he ever faced was Jahlil Okafor...chose #41 because it was his mom’s number in high school.
