BUFFALO, NY - The 2025-26 fiscal year marked the most successful revenue-generation year in the history of University at Buffalo Athletics, with more than $36 million in revenue generation across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, ticket sales, and transformational long-term agreements.
Leading the way was the announcement of a landmark $31.75 million naming rights partnership with Broadview Federal Credit Union, one of the most significant corporate investments ever secured by UB Athletics. The transformational agreement reflects the growing strength of the Bulls brand and provides long-term resources that will support student-athletes for years to come. Coupled with strong performance across philanthropy, sponsorship, and ticketing, the year showcased the power of a diversified revenue strategy and the growing engagement of donors, corporate partners, alumni, fans and supporters across the UB community.
"This has been an extraordinary year for UB Athletics," Vice President and Director of Athletics Mark Alnutt said. "The generosity of our donors, the confidence of our corporate partners, and the support of our fans continue to create opportunities for our student-athletes to succeed. We are deeply grateful to everyone who believes in our mission and invests in the future of UB Athletics."
Beyond the transformational naming rights agreement, the year was defined by growth across every major revenue category in the Bulls Championship Fund. Philanthropic support increased by more than 36 percent on a comparable basis, reflecting growing confidence in the future of UB Athletics and a meaningful increase in donor engagement. Ticket revenue grew 25 percent year over year, fueled by a 21 percent increase in attendance, while corporate partnerships continued to expand through both new and renewed relationships. The momentum was evident throughout the year, including a record-setting UB Giving Day, increased engagement across annual giving initiatives, and strong support for sport-specific excellence funds and student-athlete priorities.
"This success reflects the collective commitment of our coaches, staff, donors, partners, and fans," Deputy Athletic Director for External Operations Sean Ferrera said. "We are grateful to everyone who continues to invest in UB Athletics and the opportunities we provide for our student-athletes."
Together, these accomplishments reflect a department gaining momentum across every major revenue category and building a strong foundation for continued success in the years ahead. From a transformational naming rights agreement to increased attendance, growing philanthropic investment, and deeper engagement across the UB community, the 2025-26 fiscal year demonstrated the collective power of the Bulls family and the bright future ahead for UB Athletics.
