National Invitational Championships
Swim & Dive To Send 10 Swimmers to 2026 National Invitational Championship This Thursday Through Saturday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo swimming and diving program is set to compete at the 2026 National Invitational Championship, hosted in Ocala, Florida, by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America. 10 Bulls are scheduled to make the trip, representing the program at the national competition from Thursday, March 12th, through Saturday, March 14th.
The 10 Buffalo swimmers competing are Nicole Aguilar, Alex Bulat, Bella Forsman, Amanda Jurgelon, Elise McCaul, Kamilla Nemes, Ava Pauly, Grace Rider, Jillian Strine and Hattie Wasmuth. The travel group features two seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and three freshmen.
The Bulls return to action in the swimming pool following the Mid-American Conference Championships, where they placed fifth of nine teams. Forsman and Nemes were named All-MAC Second Team following conference championships.
Forsman helped the Bulls to earn a silver medal in the 800-yard freestyle relay on the opening night of MAC Championships, followed by three finals appearances and two top-five finishes. Nemes earned a silver medal in the 400-yard individual medley (4:18.48) and placed sixth in the 200-yard butterfly finals (2:00.52) in her debut at conference championships.
Seven of the 10 Bulls competing at the National Invitational Championship posted personal record times at MAC Championships that joined the program's all-time top 10. The team also added three new relay times to the all-time ranks, posting season-best times in the 200-yard medley relay (10th, 1:39.36), 400-yard medley relay (8th, 3:39.33) and 800-yard freestyle relay (10th, 7:15.70).

Thursday: 9:30 a.m. Preliminary Rounds & 6 p.m. Finals
- 200 Free Relay, 50 Backstroke, 500 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly, 200 Individual Medley, 50 Breaststroke, 50 Freestyle and 400 Medley Relay
Friday: 9:30 a.m. Preliminary Rounds & 6 p.m. Finals
- 200 Medley Relay, 400 Individual Medley, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke and 800 Freestyle Relay
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. Preliminary Rounds & 6 p.m. Finals
- 1650 Freestyle, 100 Individual Medley, 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly and 400 Freestyle Relay
