
Bulls Earn Three Postseason Accolades Following 2026 MAC Swimming & Diving Championships

AKRON, OHIO – The Mid-American Conference announced postseason awards for swimming and diving following the conference championships on Saturday night. Bella Forsman and Kamilla Nemes were named to an All-MAC team, and Head Diving Coach Russ Dekker was named the MAC Diving Coach of the Year for the sixth consecutive season.
Forsman was named to an All-MAC team for the second consecutive season, this time earning All-MAC Second Team honors. The sophomore helped the Bulls to earn a silver medal in the 800-yard freestyle relay on the opening night of competition, posting a season-best time of 7:15.70. Forsman was then the Bulls' top finisher in the pool on day two, taking fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:01.49. On day three, the sophomore qualified for the finals of the 400-yard individual medley, taking eighth in the event (4:22.09). Forsman rounded out conference championships by finishing fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a personal record time of 2:00.10.
Nemes also earned All-MAC Second Team honors. The freshman earned a silver medal in the 400-yard individual medley (4:18.48) and placed sixth in the 200-yard butterfly finals (2:00.52). Nemes also qualified for the consolation finals of the 200-yard individual medley, placing sixth in the heat (2:02.84) and 14th in the event overall.
Dekker was named the MAC Diving Coach of the Year for the sixth consecutive season. Through the four-day championship meet, Dekker's divers earned two of the six medals and took five of the 16 finals spots. Sophie Meuwissen (2nd, 282.60) and Mallory Hanna (3rd, 279.80) both medaled in the one-meter under Dekker's guidance. The medals marked the second of Meuwissen and Hanna's careers. Freshman Adele Melamud was one of five divers to qualify for both the one-meter and three-meter finals, too.
