
Men’s Basketball Announces 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball program and third year Head Coach George Halcovage III announced the completion of the 2025-26 non-conference schedule on Wednesday morning. The schedule will feature six regular season home games along with five road matchups and two neutral site games.
Prior to the regular season, the Bulls will play the Syracuse Orange in an exhibition on Saturday, Oct. 25th at 7 p.m. at the KeyBank Center in downtown Buffalo.
UB will open the 2025-26 regular season as they host the Southern Miss. Golden Eagles as part of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on Nov. 3. The only other meeting between the Bulls and Golden Eagles was on Dec. 28, 1995, at the Utah State Classic. Southern Miss. won the contest, 77-71.
The Bulls will then welcome the Green Bay Pheonix on Nov. 7 before hitting the road. Their first road game of the season is at DePaul on Nov. 11. The Bulls won the lone matchup against the Blue Demons on Dec. 8, 2019, 74-69.
UB will be back at Alumni Arena for a pair of games starting on Nov. 15 against RIT followed by the Vermont Catamounts on Nov. 18.
The Bulls will be away from Alumni Arena for five of six games as they'll participate at the Skechers Fort Myers Tip-Off on Nov. 24 and 26. They'll face VMI and Bucknell in the Sunshine State. On Nov. 29, the Bulls will square off against crosstown rival Canisius.
To open the month of December, the Bulls will host St. Bonaventure on Dec. 6. The Bulls will go back on the road as they'll head to Baltimore, Md.to play at UMBC on Dec. 9. UB will head south to Greenville, N.C. to play the East Carolina Pirates for the programs' first matchup on Dec. 14.
The main portion of the non-conference schedule will conclude against Penn State Behrend on Dec. 22 in Alumni Arena.
On Feb. 7, UB will travel to a Sun Belt school for the second game of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. The opponent will be announced in January where the matchups will be determined by real-time NCAA NET rankings.
