Murdock Named Preseason All-American; 13 Bulls Named to Athlon’s Preseason All-MAC Team

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo linebacker Red Murdock has been named a preseason All-American by Athlon Sports. In addition, 13 Bulls have been named to the publication's preseason All-MAC Team.
Murdock, an All-MAC First Team selection in 2024, is coming off a breakout season for the Bulls. The Petersburg, VA native ranked second in the nation in tackles a season ago with 156 and added 16.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception. He led the nation in forced fumbles with a school-record seven. He was named to the Preseason All-America Fourth Team.
Joining Murdock on Athlon's Preseason All-MAC First Team are running back Al-Jay Henderson, wide receiver Victor Snow, offensive linemen Trevor Brock and Tyler Doty, edge Kobe Stewart, defensive tackle George Wolo and linebacker Dion Crawford.
Offensive lineman Henry Tabansi, cornerback Marquis Cooper and safety Solomon Brown were named to the second team. Snow was also named as a second-team punt returner.
Making the third team were wide receiver Nik McMillan and nickel Jalen McNair.
The 2025 season kicks off at Minnesota on August 28.
