
Ben Michaels Earns MAC All-Freshman Team Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their postseason men's basketball awards on Wednesday morning. Earning honors was forward Ben Michaels who was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team.
The Ipswich, England native played 17 of the 18 conference games for the Bulls while earning 11 starts. He averaged 21.7 minutes per game which was the third most amongst MAC freshmen. His 7.9 points per game was the second-best mark among the freshman class and fourth for the Bulls. Michaels scored in double figures 11 times on the year including a career-high 15 points against Ohio (1/7/25). He averaged the third highest rebounds per game with 4.1 in conference play. He finished the conference slate top five in the class in field goals made (50), three-pointers made (13), blocks (14), assists (18) and steals (8).
"Ben is a relentless worker who came into our program from day one with a competitive spirit which led to a great freshman campaign," stated Head Coach George Halcovage III. "We are fired up that the body of work he put in this season has resulted in being named to the MAC All-Freshman Team! Bulls fans everywhere, please join me in throwing our Horns Up for Ben!"
The last Bull to earn MAC All-Freshman Team honors was CJ Massinburg in 2015-16.
