Three UB Signees Selected to Play in Big 33 Game

BUFFALO, NY – Three University at Buffalo football signees have been selected to play in the prestigious Big 33 Football Classic. The annual game pits the best high school players from Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Defensive lineman Christopher Climes (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward), tight end Michael Gelatko (Andreas, PA/Marian Catholic) and cornerback Donovan Rodriguez (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) will suit up in the game for Team Pennsylvania.
Climes was a first-team All-Conference selection and totaled 150 tackles, 60.5 tackles for loss and 31.5 sacks over his junior and senior seasons.
Gelatko is an All-State tight end who had 22 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns his senior season.
Rodriguez had 67 tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, an interception and nine pass breakups over his junior and senior seasons.
The 68th Big 33 Football Classic will be played on Sunday, May 25 at Cumberland Valley High School's Chapman Field.
