CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, naming Presley Dorsett of the University at Buffalo swimming and diving program the MAC Female Diver of the Week.
Dorsett qualified for both the one-meter and three-meter finals at the Zippy Invite, winning the one-meter with a season-best score of 280.05 and placing fifth in the three-meter (265.80). Dorsett also met the NCAA Zone Diving qualifying standards in both events, posting a three-meter preliminary round score of 280.10.
The senior provided the Bulls with 57 points at the Zippy Invite, more than any other diver in attendance, helping the Bulls to a third-place finish of the seven teams in attendance. All results from the meet can be accessed here.
The announcement marks the first time Dorsett has earned the MAC Diver of the Week award. The senior becomes the second Buffalo diver this season to earn the award and the sixth in program history.
The Bulls will next travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from December 28th through January 3rd for the team's annual training trip. The team will then return home to host the UB Diving Invite from January 9th through January 11th, and a head-to-head competition versus Duquesne on January 10th.
