CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their weekly honors on Monday afternoon. Junior guard Ryan Sabol earned Buffalo's third MAC Player of the Week honors of the season. He joins Daniel Freitag, who won the honor twice, as the only Bulls to take home the weekly award.
Ryan Sabol continued to be Buffalo's sharp-shooter in their 92-63 win over the Penn State Behrend Lions on last Monday evening. He buried 12 of his 14 shots from the field, including going 7-for-8 from three-point range. He totaled a game-high 31 points to go with a pair of rebounds and four assists. His seven made threes tied his career high for the fourth time in the blue and white. Sabol helped the Bulls improve to 11-2 on the season.
With his performance, he surpassed the 900-point mark in his career, becoming just the 36th Bull to do so in program history. He currently sits with 916 points in the blue and white.
This is Sabol's first weekly honor in his career.
The Bulls are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to DeKalb, Ill. to face the Northern Illinois Huskies (5-7, 0-1 MAC) at 8p.m. from the Convocation Center.
