
Men’s Basketball Announces 2024-25 Non-Conference Schedule

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball program announced the completion of the 2024-25 campaign on Tuesday afternoon. The schedule will feature six regular season home games along with seven road matchups.
The Bulls will start on Wednesday, Oct. 30 against Daemen in a home exhibition before the regular season. UB will open the 2024-25 season at Old Dominion as part of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on Monday, Nov. 4. The Bulls will return to Alumni Arena for their home opener on Friday, Nov. 8 against Fredonia. This will be a doubleheader with the women's team playing Buffalo State at 6 p.m. UB will go back on the road as they'll make their way to South Bend, Ind. to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for the first time in program history on Monday, Nov. 11. On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Bulls welcome the Bryant Bulldogs to Alumni Arena for the first matchup between programs. Buffalo will travel to Burlington, Vt. to take on the Vermont Catamounts on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The Catamounts won the America East Conference Tournament last season and played the 4-seeded Duke Blue Devils in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
UB will be back at home for back-to-back games starting Friday, Nov. 22. They'll play Morgan State followed by North Carolina A&T on Monday, Nov. 25. To open the month of December, the Bulls will make their way to Happy Valley to face the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Sunday the 1st. The first ever meeting between the programs dates to the 1920-21 season. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Buffalo will host the Pitt-Bradford Panthers for their final home game before Mid-American Conference play.
The Bulls will end the main portion of their non-conference schedule with three road games. On Saturday, Dec. 7 they'll play at St. Bonaventure. After a break during academic finals, they'll play at Georgia on Thursday, Dec. 19. The last time the Bulls and Bulldogs faced each other was on Dec. 11, 1976, where Georgia took the contest, 108-77. Before the New Year, the Bulls will make their way to Philadelphia to face the Temple Owls on Sunday, Dec. 29.
On Saturday, Feb. 8, UB will host a Sun Belt school for the second game of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. The opponent will be announced in January where the matchups will be determined by real-time NCAA NET rankings.
