Bulls Drop Contest at Miami (OH) on Sunday

OXFORD, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team came up just short in a tough 4-3 loss at Miami (OH) on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulls got off to a good start once again, winning the doubles point for the second straight match as Ambre Amat and Esmee Andresen cruised to a 6-1 win at first doubles and Azra Deniz Comlek and Laura Koralnik picked up a 6-2 win at the second position.
Andresen gave the Bulls a point in singles action as she won to a 6-4, 6-2 win at the fifth position. Graduate student Jagmeet Kaur then battled to a 6-3. 7-5 win at first singles and the match would be tied at three and come down to third singles where Koralnik and Miami's Sara Zalukar went to a decisive third set with the UB freshman coming up just short in a three-set heartbreaker 6-7, 7-5, 6-7.
Up next, Buffalo embarks on the final week of the regular season beginning on Thursday April 18 at Toledo.
