BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's basketball sophomore guard/forward Hattie Ogden has been named to the Academic All-MAC team, as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon.
A total of 54 student-athletes were named to the 2024 squad.
Ogden, a biology major with 3.513 GPA, earns the academic league honor for the first time in her career after being named to the Academic All-District squad earlier this month. She put together a solid sophomore campaign, averaging 7.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while ranking second on the team in threes made (58) and third in three-point field goal percentage (.317). The Magrath, Alberta native recorded a career-high with 21 points in the win over Niagara and knocked down a career-best six made threes in UB's win over UMES. Ogden proved to be an "X-Factor" for Buffalo as the Bulls went 11-0 in games that she scored 10 or more points.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
