Bulls Start Strong At MAC Championships

ATHENS, OHIO – The University at Buffalo Swimming & Diving team opened day one of MAC Championships on Wednesday, finishing the night tied for fourth with 58 points.

The Bulls began conference championships with a fifth place finish in the 200 medley relay and a time of 1:40.34. Mia Naccarella, Grace Rider, Clarice Fisher and Nicole Aguilar's relay time ranks tenth all-time in program history. The relay team earned 28 points for Buffalo.

In the 800 freestyle relay the Bulls finished in fourth place with a time 7:20.80, earning 30 points. The Buffalo relay team consisted of Elise McCaul, Marij van der Mast, Alicia Wood and Abigail Malmstrom.

Day two of MAC Championships continues on Thursday morning at 10am with the preliminary round of the 500 yard freestyle, the 200 yard individual medley, the 50 yard freestyle and 1 meter diving. The event finals begin at 6pm.
