Dolac Named Semifinalist for Butkus Award

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo standout linebacker Shaun Dolac is a semifinalist for the Butkus Award, the Butkus Foundation announced on Monday. The award is given annually to the nation's best linebacker.
Dolac leads the nation in tackles with 120 and has added 11.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions and three pass breakups. He has recorded double-digit tackles in every game this season. He has been named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week three times this season.
Dolac is ascending the record books at UB, currently ranking ninth in program history in career tackles with 343.
Dolac is the second UB player to be named a semifinalist for the award. Khalil Mack was a finalist for the award in 2013.
Finalists will be named November 25 and winners named by December 10.
Dolac and the Bulls are back in action on November 12 when they host Ball State at UB Stadium.
