Dolac Earns Fifth MAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor

BUFFALO, N.Y. – For the fifth time this season and second straight week, University at Buffalo linebacker Shaun Dolac was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Dolac had nine tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and two interceptions in Buffalo's win at Eastern Michigan on Wednesday night. He helped lead a defense that held the Eagles to just 70 yards rushing in the game. His second interception of the game resulted in a pick six as he weaved his way through Eastern Michigan players for 60 yards and a touchdown to ice the game.
Dolac is having an historic season for the Bulls. He leads the nation in tackles with 146 and has added 14.5 tackles for loss, four sacks and five interceptions on the year.
The Bulls are 7-4 overall and 5-2 in MAC play. They will next host Kent State in the regular season finale on Tuesday night at UB Stadium. Click here for ticket information.
