Bulls Welcome Cedarville to Alumni Arena on Monday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (3-0) returns home to welcome Cedarville to Alumni Arena on Monday night for a 6pm contest.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Paul Peck (play-by-play) and Heather Prusak (color) announcing and can be heard on ESPN 1520 and the Varsity Network with Jack Kreuzer on the call.
This is the first overall meeting between the two programs. The Bulls have started the season 2-0 at home for the second straight year and ninth time in the last 10 years.
Buffalo battled to earn their first road win of the season, a 56-46 victory at Maryland Eastern Shore, in a scrappy contest at the Hytche Center on Wednesday night. The Bulls were led offensively by fifth year guard Chellia Watson who scored a game-high 20 points. Sophomore Kirsten Lewis-Williams also scored in double figures with 12 points. Buffalo scored 30 points in the paint while also assisting on 13 of 19 made field goals and forcing UMES into 23 turnovers which they turned into 18 points on the other end.
Cedarville is 1-2 overall after defeating to Salem 75-58 on Wednesday. They then won/lost in an exhibition contest at Northern Kentucky on Friday. The Lady Jackets were picked to finish 10th in the 13-team GMAC preseason coaches poll after going 5-22 a year ago. Cedarville returns just six players, including one starter, from a season ago while adding nine newcomers to the roster. Elyssa Kincaid leads Cedarville offensively as she is averaging just under a double-double with 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. KaCee Kyle is the returning leading scorer after averaging 9.1 points per game and starting 26 of 27 games last season.
The Yellowjackets averaged 60 points per game while allowing over 76 points per contest a season ago. Addy Miller is in her second season at the helm of the Yellow Jackets. Miller came Cedarville after three years as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II powerhouse Drury University where she helped guide the Panthers to an 87-9 overall record and an NCAA Division II runner-up finish in 2021.
Up next, Buffalo will play the first of three straight Big 4 contests, beginning on Friday as they take on crosstown rival Canisius at the Koessler Athletic Center on Friday, November 22 at 6pm.
