Bulls Fall to the RedHawks

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team (2-13, 1-2 MAC) lost to the Miami (OH) RedHawks (7-8, 1-2 MAC) on Tuesday evening.
Ryan Sabol recorded his third straight game scoring in double figures, finishing with 14 points. Shawn Fulcher was the leading scorer for the Bulls as he finished with a career-high 20 points. Fulcher finished 9-for-15 from the floor and added three assists. Jonnivius Smith and Zaakir Williamson led all players with five rebounds apiece.
The Bulls took a 3-0 lead off a Sabol three-pointer at the 19:08 mark of the first half. Despite having several leads, this would be Buffalo's largest lead of the game. It was a fairly even shooting percentage from the floor as the Bulls shot 52.0% with Miami shooting 53.3%. At the half, the RedHawks led, 38-36.
It was a tale of two halves, as the RedHawks could not be stopped. Miami started the half 10-for-10 from the floor and finished 22-for-28 in the second half. In total, the Bulls were outscored, 49-29 as Miami capitalized on points in the paint. The RedHawks scored 56 of their 86 points in the paint compared to the Bulls' 38.
The Bulls will be in action on Friday evening on CBSSN against the Akron Zips at 7 p.m.
