
MAC Announces Men’s Basketball Conference Slate

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University at Buffalo in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference announced the 2023-24 conference schedule on Wednesday morning. In total, each MAC program will play 18 games.
Buffalo will turn its attention to MAC play in the new year. The conference opener will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 2 in Mount Pleasant, Mich. against Central Michigan. The Bulls will then come back to Alumni Arena for a two-game home stand against Western Michigan (Saturday, Jan. 6) and Miami (OH) (Tuesday, Jan. 9). To close out the month of January, UB will be on the road for four of their five games. They will head to the state of Ohio to play Akron on Saturday, Jan. 13 and Toledo on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The team will have a bye on Saturday, Jan. 20 before hosting Ball State on Tuesday, Jan. 23. UB will go back to the state of Michigan to square off against Eastern Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 27 and will head down to Athens, Ohio to finish the month of January against the Ohio Bobcats on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
UB opens the month of February by hosting reigning MAC Champion Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 3. Following this game, the Bulls will be on the road for three-straight games starting on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at Bowling Green. The conference will take a break from MAC play on Saturday, Feb. 10 as this will be the second game of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. All MAC teams will play on the road at a Sun Belt school that will be announced in January. UB will head to DeKalb, Ill. to face the Northern Illinois Huskies on Tuesday, Feb. 13 to close out the road trip.
The Bulls will finish the regular season with five of their final seven games at home. The Akron Zips and Eastern Michigan Eagles will make their way to Alumni Arena on Saturday, Feb. 17 and Tuesday, Feb. 20, respectively. For the final road trip of the season, UB will go to Michigan for a third time to play the Western Michigan Broncos on Saturday, Feb. 24. Their final road game of the season will be at Kent State on Tuesday, Feb. 27. The Bulls end the season with three-straight home games starting with the Toledo Rockets on Saturday, March 2. In the final week of MAC play, the Ohio Bobcats and Northern Illinois Huskies will head to Western New York on Tuesday, March 5 and Friday, March 8, respectively.

The MAC Tournament will take place at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland from March 14-16.
