Clothier Promoted to Full-Time Assistant Coach

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo wrestling head coach John Stutzman has announced the promotion of Alan Clothier to full-time assistant coach after spending last season as a volunteer assistant. Stutzman has also announced that former Bull Ben Freeman has joined the staff as a volunteer assistant.
Clothier came to UB as a volunteer assistant prior to the 2022-23 campaign, following a standout collegiate career. The Lawrence, KS native was a highly decorated 184-pounder at Northern Colorado and Appalachian State. He was a four-time national qualifier and a three-time placer at the Big XII Championships.
Freeman spent two seasons with the Bulls after transferring from Michigan. Wrestling at 141 pounds, he had his most successful season in 2021-22 finishing the year 14-15 overall and 9-8 in dual matches.
