THE 1958 SOCIETY

OUR PURPOSE
The landscape of college athletics today requires that athletic departments continuously look for ways to enhance our athletic facility infrastructure. As such, the 1958 Society was established for the sole purpose of providing critical resources for facility improvement and new facility construction.
1958 Society contributors, through their commitment, are recognizing the importance of providing our coaches and student-athletes with facilities that are commensurate with a championship program. All 1958 Society dollars are restricted to facility improvements designated as strategic priorities by our athletic director.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS ARE SAYING
Tom & Cynthia Murphy “Cynthia and I have lived in Buffalo for over 30 years and have been connected to UB since our return from Michigan in '79. I owe my success in business and investments to my family and the football scholarship I received from UB in 1965. The spectacular growth at UB in the past 10 years has been unbelievable. Cynthia and I are very happy to play a small part in this growth by being a member of the 1958 Society. We reach out to everyone in WNY to become a member of the 1958 Society or the Blue and White Fund. UB is a world-class institution and athletics is a critical component. Go Bulls!” |
Drs. Bob Smolinski & Claudia Fosket “I've been involved with UB Athletics for many years. I've seen numerous changes as the program has evolved. Being able to give back to the university that has meant so much to my family and myself is rewarding. Having the support of my partners in such a transformational capital improvement was something that was also very important. Being able to see the dedicated UB student-athletes using the world class facility on a daily basis gives me confidence that the overall experience of the student-athlete is getting better every day. We're happy and proud to contribute to the positive transformation that's taking place within UB Athletics!" |
John Heffernan “Having lived in Buffalo for 33 years, UB is my adopted university. I have been fortunate in my business and personal life and feel it is time to give back and help others achieve their goals. I am involved in many local service and charitable organizations and especially interested in helping build UB into ”America's next big-time college Athletic Brand." This is critical for the growth of the institution as a whole. We will accomplish this one step at a time. I am proud to be a small part of the effort. Go UB!" |
Wayne & Karen Rozen “Karen and I are enthusiastic supporters of UB in general and Men's Basketball in particular. Additionally we are proud members of the 1958 Society. During my time at Buffalo I made many close friendships which have continued to endure. While attending the university I was very fortunate to have a wonderful mentor and role model in basketball coach, Ed Muto for which I'll always be grateful. We're proud to be associated with UB and envision a wonderful present and future for the school. Go Bulls!" |
