Marshall Signs with Falcons, Two Other Bulls Earn Camp Invites

BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo wide receiver Justin Marshall has signed a free agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. In addition, linebacker James Patterson and offensive lineman Desmond Bessent earned camp invites by the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears, respectively.
Marshall had a standout campaign in his one season with the Bulls. The Georgia native led Buffalo in receiving with 64 receptions for 837 yards and nine touchdowns. He was the MVP of the Camellia Bowl after hauling in 11 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown in UB's 23-21 victory.
Patterson was a three-time All-MAC linebacker for the Bulls. He finished his career fourth in program history in career tackles with 417 and second in program history in career forced fumbles with nine.
Bessent spent one season with the Bulls as a graduate transfer. He started all 13 games at right tackle and was named All-MAC Third Team.
