Jeenathan Williams Signs Two-Year Contract with the Portland Trail Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers announced the signing of former Bulls' forward Jeenathan Williams on Saturday afternoon.
Williams spent his first professional season with the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate for the Utah Jazz. In 32 regular season appearances for Salt Lake City, Williams averaged 29.8 minutes per game where he produced 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. From the floor, Williams shot at an impressive rate of .523, as he held a three-point shooting percentage of .417. He finished .848 from the charity stripe.
During his time in Buffalo, Williams earned First-Team All-MAC honors in his final season with the Bulls as well as Second-Team All-MAC in 2020-21. He averaged 19.1 ppg and 5.0 rpg while shooting .490 from the field in 2021-22.
Williams joins Sam Pellom (1974-78) as the only other Bull to play in the NBA. Pellom played for the Atlanta Hawks (1979-82) and for the Milwaukee Bucks (1982-83).
The Trail Blazers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. ET on Root Sports Plus.
