BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team fell to Central Michigan, 27-6, at Alumni Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Chippewas won each of the first seven matches to take a commanding lead. However, the Bulls showed fight as six of those matches were decisions.
Giuseppe Hoose got Buffalo on the board with a 5-2 decision over Ben Cushman at 184. UB's redshirt-senior had a takedown in the first and second period to take control of the match.
Sam Mitchell followed with a 4-1 decision over Cameron Wood. Mitchell continued his strong stretch run, winning eight of his last nine duals.
