McNulty Named MAC East Division Special Teams Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo kicker Alex McNulty was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Special Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. It is the second time the senior kicker has earned the honor in his career.

McNulty was perfect on the day, making all of his kick attempts at Coastal Carolina. The senior kicker was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on extra point attempts. McNulty made kicks of 36, 47, 42 and 26 yards. He became the first Buffalo kicker to make four field goals in a game since A.J. Principe made four field goals at Syracuse in 2007. His 14 points in the game were a career high.

A native of Caledonia, NY, McNulty is 6-of-7 on field goal attempts on the season and a perfect 7-for-7 on extra points. He continues to ascend the UB record books as he currently ranks fifth in program history in career field goals (31), third in career extra points (129) and fourth in career points scored by a kicker (222).

The Bulls will next play at Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
