
Fair Named AP Honorable Mention All-American

BUFFALO, NY β University at Buffalo junior guard Dyaisha Fair has been named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press, the organization announced on Wednesday afternoon.
She is the third All-American in program history, joined by Cierra Dillard (2018-19) and Kourtney Brown (2010-11).
Fair was named the Most Valuable Player of the Mid-American Conference Tournament after leading the Bulls to their third MAC championship in program history. She averaged 25.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 3.3 steals in three games in Cleveland.
The Rochester, NY native is currently ranked fourth in the nation in scoring (23.4) while also ranking second in total points (771), sixth in field goals made (266), 10th in three-point field goals made (88), 11th in free throws made (151), 22nd in three-point field goals made per game (2.7) and 25th in free throws attempted (183). She has scored in double figures 31 times this season, 24 times with 20 or more points and seven times with 30+ points. Fair was named one of five finalists for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award was on the late season watch list for the Dawn Staley Award as well as the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list, recognizing the best point guard in women's Division I basketball.
