
Bulls Remain in Second Place at MAC Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (5-0, 4-0 MAC) remain in second place after day three of the Mid-American Conference Championships. The Bulls earned four medals on the day to bring their total to 11.
In the morning prelims, Jillian Lawton broke her own school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.02-seconds. Following that performance was Katie Pollock who followed Lawton's path and broke her own school record in the 100 breaststroke. Pollock finished in 1:00.23.
The finals session started with a bang as freshman Sawyer Bosley won the 200 freestyle in 1:46.94. Also medaling in the event was Toni Naccarella who took home the bronze medal. She finished in 1:47.94 edging out an Akron Zip by .02-seconds.
Pollock upped her game in the 100 breaststroke final as she struck gold and broke her school record again. Finishing in under a minute, at 59.92-seconds, Pollock won by 1.22-seconds.
To close out the evening was the 400 medley relay. The Bulls won the silver medal in 3:36.85. Mia Naccarella, Pollock, Clarice Fisher, and Ellie Duley added to their collection.

NEXT UP
Day four of competition will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning. The prelims that will be held to start the day are the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, and the 200 butterfly. The finals will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
