UB Athletics calls on supporters to put their STAMP on the advancement of UB teams
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo Division of Athletics officially kicked off its Operation STAMPede fundraising initiative on Tuesday, allowing UB supporters to aid in the advancement of sport specific needs for UB teams as they pursue their championship goals.
Fans can click here to collect more information about each team's specific fundraising goal and can learn about different ways to contribute to each team's fundraising goal.
Operation STAMPede uniquely engages UB supporters, as the specific needs for each program are driven entirely by coach and student-athletes input.
Supporters for UB Athletics will have the opportunity to support different teams through the month of March. Listed below is the complete fundraising schedule for each team.
FALL SPORTS
Nov. 1 – 30 (Women's Volleyball and Women's Soccer)
Women's Volleyball Fundraising Goal: We are raising funds in order to enhance our student athlete's experience by providing a more competitive spring schedule. While there are other local collegiate teams to compete against right here in Buffalo, we will be able to see a variety of teams and levels of play by expanding outside of the region. In addition to seeking out higher competition levels we will be able to provide various team building activities while on the road, while exploring an area outside of Buffalo and Western New York!
Women's Soccer Fundraising Goals: We are raising funds in order to upgrade our training equipment and enhance our student-athlete experience. Our training field is in need of new full size training goals that are more easily transportable and light weight. As the game evolves, so too does our training methods and we are seeking additional equipment to help us stay on the cutting edge of new training ideas and methods.
WINTER SPORTS
Nov. 14 – Dec. 20 (Women's Basketball, Men's Basketball, Swimming and Diving)
SPRING SPORTS
Feb. 1 – March 1 (Softball, Women's Tennis, Men's Tennis, Cross Country/Track and Field)
