
Swim & Dive Back in Action on Saturday Afternoon

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (2-0, 2-0 MAC) returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 8 for a dual meet against Duquesne University (4-1, 0-0 A-10). The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. in the Alumni Arena Natatorium.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bulls are fresh off their winter Florida training trip in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The last time the team was in the pool, they finished third out of 10 programs at the Zippy Invite earning 1,355 points. The Bulls set a new school record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:16.95 along with Jillian Lawton breaking the school record in the 100 butterfly (53.40).
The Bulls can create history Saturday afternoon as they could win their 12th straight dual meet. Currently they have a win streak of 11 under for the second time under Bashor's guidance and just the third time in program history. The first two times came from Nov. 12, 2011 to Jan. 19, 2013 and the 1986-87 season where the Bulls finished the season 11-0. The team's last dual meet loss came on Jan. 11, 2020 at Penn State, 180-134.
