14 Bulls Headed to Nebraska for the U23 National Championships

BUFFALO, NY – Members of the University at Buffalo wrestling team will compete at the U23 National Championships in Lincoln, NE May 28-29. In total 14 Bulls will compete for a chance to represent USA Wrestling at the UWW U23 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia on November 1-7.
Scheduled to compete are:
Ben Freeman – 65kg
Jack Marlow – 65 kg
Ty Raines – 70 kg
Matt Ryan – 70 kg
Jay Nivison – 74 kg
Marcus Petite – 74 kg
Hunter Shaut – 74 kg
Michael Petite – 74 kg
Jake Lanning – 79 kg
Bryson Alsteen – 79 kg
Noah Grover – 79 kg
Giuseppe Hoose – 86 kg
Sam Mitchell – 97 kg
Toby Cahill – 125 kg
This also serves as the annual national championships in men's freestyle and Greco-Roman for athletes who are 23 years old and younger. National champions and All-Americans will be determined in each weight class. The field will feature many of the nation's best college wrestlers, as well as a number of stars who have completed their college careers or wrestle for the nation's military wrestling programs.
