UB Wrestling Signs A Pair to National Letters of Intent

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo wrestling head coach John Stutzman announced his newest signing class on Thursday. A pair of Pennsylvania natives, Carter Gill and Chase Kranitz, will join the Bulls in 2022.
Gill, a projected 157-pounder, hails from Hickory High School in Hermitage, PA. He has a career record of 99-29. A two-time state placer, Gill finished sixth at the 2020 state championships and seventh at the 2021 state championships. He finished fifth at the 2020 POWERade Wrestling Tournament.
Kranitz, a high school All-American, has 85 wins for Norwin Senior High School. He is a two-time state qualifier and finished fifth in the state in 2021. He finished second in the WPIAL as well as the PIAA West Super Regional. Kranitz is projected to wrestle at either 165 or 174.
"We are extremely excited to add Chase and Carter to the UB wrestling family," Stutzman said. "During the process, we knew they were the perfect fit with the work ethic they possess and their commitment to academics."
The 2021-22 season continues on Friday night when the Bulls host Pitt at Alumni Arena.
