
MBB Well Represented On NBA G-League Training Camp Rosters

BUFFALO, NY – With the NBA G-League season about to get underway, the University at Buffalo men's basketball program will be well represented on training camp rosters as four former Bulls will be looking to make NBA G-League rosters.
Jayvon Graves signed with the Austin Spurs, the affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs. Graves is eighth all-time in school history in scoring with 1,436 career points. Graves, a second-team All-MAC selection this past year, finished with a cumulative GPA of over 3.2 and was named to the NABC Honor Roll, earning his degree in communications. Graves finished this past year third on the team in scoring at 14.2 points per game and third in rebounding at 6.1 per contest.
Montell McRae, who graduated in 2018-19, was drafted in the first round of the G-League draft this past Saturday by the Cleveland Charge, the affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers. McRae played two seasons for the Bulls after transferring from South Plains Junior College. He was part of two Mid-American Conference Championships.
Antwain Johnson, who played his final season with the Bulls, was signed by the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the affiliate of the Miami Heat. Johnson graduated in 2019-20 and was with Buffalo for two seasons, sitting out as a transfer in 2018-19 after transferring in from Middle Tennessee State.
Former Bull Lamonte Bearden, who played his first two years with the Bulls, was drafted in the third round by the Texas Legends, the affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. Bearden was a part of two MAC Championship programs in 2014-15 and 2015-16.
McRae, Johnson, and Bearden were all members of the Blue Collar U team that made it to the final four of the TBT this past summer.
