McNulty Named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo kicker Alex McNulty was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, the league announced.
McNulty made his only field goal attempt, a 23-yarder, to open the scoring and was a perfect 6-for-6 on extra point attempts in Buffalo's 45-10 win over Akron. In addition, five of his eight kickoffs went for touchbacks.
McNulty has made nine field goals on the season and is 28-for-28 on extra point attempts.
It's the fourth week this season a UB player has been honored by the MAC. Quarterback Kyle Vantrease was named Offensive Player of the Week following the opener against Wagner and defensive end Taylor Riggins was named Defensive Player of the Week following UB's game against Coastal Carolina. Following UB's win over Ohio, running back Dylan McDuffie and linebacker James Patterson were both honored.
The Bulls are back home on Saturday to host Bowling Green.
