BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo quarterback Tyree Jackson has signed a futures contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced on Thursday. The team is planning to move him to tight end.
After a standout career at UB, including being named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2018, Jackson signed a free agent deal with the Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately, he was released prior to the start of the 2019 campaign. He was drafted by the DC Defenders of the XFL for its inaugural season in 2020 and saw action in five games, going 11-of-18 for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson will report to the Eagles OTAs and training camp when they begin.
