Bulls to Face Northern Illinois on Friday Night

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team will travel to Northern Illinois on Friday night to take on the Huskies. A young UB squad is looking to snap a recent skid that has seen them lose three straight very close duals.
The Bulls are coming off a 25-14 loss at Central Michigan last Friday. UB was led by Troy Keller at 165 who pinned his opponent with just four seconds left in his match. It was Keller's 14th straight dual win and fifth time in his last six outings he has earned bonus points. Pete Acciardi has also been rolling at 184, winning five straight duals to improve his record to 6-1 in MAC duals.
Northern Illinois is enjoying one of its best seasons in recent memory with a record of 11-2 and a 6-2 mark in MAC duals. The Huskies are led by Bryce West at 125 and Brit Wilson at 184. Both wrestlers are 6-2 in MAC duals on the season.
Northern Illinois leads the all-time series, 12-8. However, the Bulls have won three of the last four meetings, including a 23-14 victory at Alumni Arena last season.
Friday's dual is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm (EST) and will air on ESPN+. Click here to watch the broadcast.
