BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Mark Alnutt has announced the hiring of D'Ann Keller as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator. Keller brings a wealth of experience to Buffalo, most recently serving as Associate Director of Athletics/Administration at Saint Louis University.
As Associate Director of Athletics for administration at SLU, a position she held since 2013, Keller was the sport supervisor for field hockey, men's and women's swimming and diving and men's and women's tennis. Additionally, she served as a liaison to the University's department of housing and residence life.
In addition to her SLU responsibilities, Keller has served on the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee for the past three years.
"After a national search, I'm excited to announce the addition of D'Ann Keller to our UB Family," Alnutt said. "D'Ann brings a broad based wealth of experience from more recently her time at Saint Louis University and the NCAA National Office. Her primary focus in the past has been closely related to our commitment to provide our student-athletes a first-class collegiate experience. I look forward to our coaches, staff and members of our University community welcoming and working closely with D'Ann to continue to enhance these opportunities for our student-athletes."
Prior to being hired at Saint Louis, Keller spent 11 years working at the NCAA national office. She most recently served as associate director of championships and alliances, a position in which she managed and directed NCAA Championships in coordination with host institutions. Her primary responsibility was administering the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, which included the 2006 College Cup played at Hermann Stadium.
Keller also had stints as associate director of athletics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and assistant commissioner of the Horizon League.
"I am honored to join the University at Buffalo community as the Senior Associate Athletics Director/SWA," Keller said. "I am thankful for the confidence Athletics Director Mark Alnutt and the search committee have placed in me with this opportunity to join an outstanding athletics department.
"It is a privilege to join an athletics program that places a strong emphasis on academic achievement and athletic excellence while operating with integrity and a commitment to an inclusive environment. I want to express my gratitude to Saint Louis University for the past six years and wish the Billikens continued success."
Keller earned a bachelor's degree from Ball State and holds master's degrees from Ball State and Butler.
"I am very excited to begin working with our UB student-athletes, coaches and staff as we engage our campus and community partners in the pursuit of greatness," Keller added.
