
Dyaisha Fair Named MAC East Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY - After a strong week on the court for the University at Buffalo women's basketball team (4-0, 0-0 MAC), freshman guard Dyaisha Fair has been selected as the Mid-American Conference East division Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
This is the first weekly honor for Fair and the Bulls this season.
Fair continued to impress as she led the Bulls to a 2-0 record on the week, averaging 24.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals. On Tuesday, Fair recorded 24 points while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out four assists. The Rochester, NY native turned in her fourth straight 20+ point performance on Friday night as she scored 25 points while adding five rebounds, five assists and five steals in a come-from-behind win over Columbia.
Fair has now posted four straight 20+ point efforts to begin the season. She is averaging 26.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals across her first four games for the Bulls. Her 26.0 points per game average currently ranks third in the nation. She also leads the nation in three point field goals attempted (44), while ranking fourth in three point field goals made (16).
The Bulls will return to the court this week with a pair of games in California. UB will take on San Jose State at 10pm on Thursday before closing out their west coast swing with a showdown against #3 Stanford on Sunday.
