
Men's Hoops Adds Nikola Rakicevic For Upcoming Season

BUFFALO, NY – First-year head coach Nate Oats has announced the addition of Nikola Rakicevic for the upcoming 2015-16 season. A Serbian national, Rakicevic was named to the All-Tournament team at the U17 World Championships this past year.
A 6'5" wing player, Rakicevic averaged 12.4 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per contest at the U17 World Championships. He most recently has played for the KK Crvena Zvezda Junior Team out of Belgrade, Serbia.
"Nikola is an extremely versatile player that will help spread the court," said Oats. "He brings a wealth of experience playing at some of the highest international levels and he is a great addition to our team."
At the World Championships, he scored 19 points in 27 minutes against the United States and opened the tournament with 17 points and seven rebounds against China. He scored in double figures in five of the seven games.
Rakicevic also played for Serbia in the 2013 U16 European Championships.
