UB Football Camp Report: Day 2

BUFFALO, NY - Tuesday was the second day of practice for the UB Football team. The Bulls, as they will for the remainder of the week, had a morning practice at UB Stadium. Here are a few of the day's highlights.
- The wide receivers made a number of big plays – proving there is depth at the position. Besides the reliable Ron Willoughby, Jacob Martinez and Marcus McGill, a number of young receivers stepped up on Tuesday. Not only have sophomore Jamarl Eiland and junior Malcolm Robinson continue to blossom, but newcomer Collin Lisa, a transfer from UAB, has shown flashes as well. J.R. Zazzara and Mikel DeMonte showed they are ready to step into a more prominent role as both made highlight reel catches on the day.
- Another position the Bulls have depth is running back. Anthone Taylor looked in midseason form already with a couple of big runs. Jordan Johnson and freshman Johnathan Hawkins also looked good.
- The defensive standout of the day was Boise Ross. The Bulls' cornerback was all over the field with a number of pass breakups and an acrobatic interception. Ross looks quite comfortable in his first camp as a full-time cornerback.
- Demone Harris had a sack during 11-on-11 drills.
The Bulls will be back at it tomorrow morning. It will be their first practice in shoulder pads.
