
UB Football Signs Offensive Lineman Trey Bowman

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo, the State University of New York added some size to its offensive line with the addition of JUCO transfer Trey Bowman. The 6-4, 285 lb. native of Carter Lake, IA comes to UB from Iowa Western Community College and will be eligible for the 2015 season.
At Iowa Western, Bowman helped lead the Reivers to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championship Game in 2014. Iowa Western, coached by Scott Strohmeier, was the top-ranked JUCO team in the nation during the regular season.
Bowman was a three-year letterwinner and one-year team captain for head coach Kevin Culjat at St. Albert Catholic High School. He was named first-team All-State, All-City, All-District and All-Western Iowa his senior season and helped the Falcons to a 10-1 record. He was named first-team All-City, All-District, All-Western Iowa and second-team All-State as a junior.
"We are extremely excited to add Trey Bowman to the 2015 roster," head coach Lance Leipold said. "He comes from one of the best junior college programs in the country in Iowa Western Community College. He is going to compete for playing time on the offensive line and add quality depth. We think he has a bright future."
A standout in the classroom as well, Bowman plans to be a pre-med major with the goal of becoming a doctor. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
