
Nate Rose Qualifies For Pan-American Games For Trinidad

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo, The State University of New York commit Nate Rose earned a fifth place finish at 96 kg this weekend at the Pan-American Championships which were held in Santiago, Chile.
Rose represented Trinidad at the Championships and his fifth place finish earned him a spot in the Pan-American Games in Toronto, Canada on July 15-18.
After losing his opening match against eventual second place finisher Abraham Coney of Cuba, Rose dominated his next opponent and advanced to the next round of competition. Rose downed Marcos Manuel of Puerto Rico by major decision, 12-2 en route to a fifth place finish and a spot in the Pan-American games.
The UB commit will also be participating in the 2015 World Championships in free style, which is being held in Las Vegas, NV in September.
