Lamonte Bearden Named MAC East Player Of The Week

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men's basketball sophomore Lamonte Bearden has been named the MAC East Division Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Bearden led the Bulls in their lone game this week as he finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the 80-73 win over Montana St. Bearden also recorded a steal and didn't turn the ball over at all in 32 minutes of action. Bearden went 7-of-15 from the floor and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. He leads the Bulls in scoring and assists this year.
This is the first time this season that a UB player has been honored and the first time in Bearden's career that has claimed player of the week honors.
Bearden and the Bulls face VCU on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm.
