
Football Adds Seven Mid-Year Enrollees

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo, The State University of New York head football coach Lance Leipold has announced that seven football players have signed National Letters of Intent or financial aid agreements and will join the Bulls in January as mid-year enrollees.
"We're proud that we had so many players play with their degrees in the fall and others that graduated in December. But it left us depleted in some areas and very young at others," Leipold said. "By enrolling in January, these new players will help us in spring ball and create competition and depth. We felt it was important to get guys in here for development purposes and we're excited to have them."
The class is led by former Iowa State quarterback Grant Rohach, who will have one year of eligibility remaining in 2016 after recently graduating. A three-star quarterback out of high school, Rohach started five games for the Cyclones over his career. He saw his most extensive action in 2013 when he appeared in seven games and started the final four of the season. He threw for 1,208 yards and eight touchdowns, completing 110-of-191 pass attempts. He led the Cyclones to wins over Kansas and West Virginia in the final two games of the 2013 season.
Tim Roberts is a 6-2, 195-lb. defensive back who played two seasons at Fullerton College and will have two years of eligibility remaining. In 2015, he totaled 48 tackles and added an interception and a fumble recovery. He also had six pass breakups on the year. In 2014, he had three interceptions in a game against Grossmont to tie the Fullerton College record. He totaled five interceptions in 2014.
O.J. O'Neal, a defensive back who played two seasons at Hinds Community College, will have two years of eligibility for the Bulls. At 6-2, 190, O'Neal totaled 50 tackles and a pair of sacks over his career.
Khalil Hodge is a 6-2, 240-lb. linebacker from the City College of San Francisco. He played one season for the Rams and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Hodge helped lead the City College of San Francisco to a state championship in 2015. He had an astounding 262 tackles his senior season at St. Mary's High School in Stockton, CA.
Connor Morehart is a 6-4, 315-lb. offensive lineman from Nassau Community College who will have three years of eligibility remaining. Morehart anchored an offensive line that led the Northeast Football Conference in total offense, averaging 474.3 yards per game in 2015. The Lions also allowed the fewest sacks in the conference.
The Bulls also signed a pair of players that will have four years of eligibility remaining. Alec Curts is a 6-4, 255-lb. offensive lineman from Mount Vernon High School in Ohio. Curts was a second-team All-Ohio Capital Conference selection.
Finally, Tomas Jack-Kurdyla is a 6-4, 295-lb. offensive lineman from Vanier College in Montreal.
All eight players will enroll at UB in January and will be eligible to participate in spring drills and the 2016 season.
