Women's Rowing Competes at the Head of the Housatonic

DERBY, CT – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York women's rowing team competed at the Head of the Housatonic in Connecticut on Saturday.
The Bulls' Novice 8 boat was UB's top finisher on the 2.7-mile course. The boat, made up of Alexandra Sinclair, Alexa Hillis, Samantha Fishel, Briana Kelly, Stephanie Busha, Hannah Annuziata, Veronica Czarnik, Sara Jakiel and Hayley Nieves posted a third place finish with a time of 2:13.67.
The Varsity 8 "A" boat finished 18th in their race with a time of 16:40.7. The boat was comprised of Ally Mayo, Colleen Patterson, Erica Tenteromano, Samantha Paige, Mackenzie Turpin, Emily Sheetz, Meghan O'Brien, Erin O'Connell and Clare Costello.
The Varsity 8 "B" boat of Courtney Donovan, Madeline Sheffield, Juliana Gomez, Maddy Saporito, Elizabeth Shilling, Tracey Zajac, Jillian Michael, Sophie Wisoff and Rylee James finished 21st with a time of 17:25.1.
